I put a double-gun shoulder holster in the same category as the double cross-draw rigs we used to see in the cowboy movies - looks cool but highly impractical to draw from.

Indeed.  Single shoulder rigs and cross-draw holsters do have a legitimate use for drivers, but double-rigs are a Hollywood fantasy.

I kind of want a quadruple rig for my percussion revolvers... but then again no-body is tactical enough to handle it.  ;)
