Gun Belt
« on: February 18, 2012, 02:41:10 AM »
Anyone that doesn't have one I highly suggest it. I was skeptical and have been carrying with a regular web belt. Just got my instructor belt (with polymer insert) from the wilderness and am thoroughly amazed. The extra stiffness makes a huge difference.it is also way more secure than any other belt I've owned. Normal web belts fray after a while and on leather belts the holes will elongate. My belt also has a caribiner attachment to lock yourself in if need be

Yeah, the wilderness belts are nice.  After procrastinating for a very long time I finally got an Ares Gear Ranger belt.  To call it amazing would be an understatement.

+1.

When I am wearing clothes that negate the ability to use a wilderness or similar belt, Dan the Beltman has always gotten the nod.  High quality leather gun belts that don't look like "gun belts."

Indeed.  My beltman belt has served me well for about 4 years now.

I have had a wilderness I bought used for 4 years now. I need to make the dive to a ranger belt with cobra buckles. I have also been interested in Arc'teryx offering tp

I wear my wilderness 5 stitch when carrying a full load (gun, holster, mags, flashlight, etc..) and it has been a solid piece of gear. For EDC and concealed carry I currently have a Desantis leather, but am looking to upgrade to a Beltman soon. The Desantis has served me well for about 3 years now though!

Wilderness 5 stitch. The buckle is a bit heavy but that's the only drawback. Have several, all have held up well with daily use for the past 5 years
