Someone to solder muzzle brakes? And a TIG expert
« on: January 31, 2011, 05:52:08 AM »
Sorry to post the same request in 2 sub-forums, but as a FNG I didn't have access to the Classifieds until now.

I need someone to pin/weld/solder some muzzle brakes on some AK74 builds I am planning.

I also need a good TIG artist for a couple of other gun related projects.

Thanks! :)

Do a search on ARFCOM, there is an 8 page stickey on the process of silver solder vs. pinned.

Just got a quote from JoJO's of $35 to pin and weld a comp to an AR. They do not solder so I'm going to do that myself. $40 shipped for a container of Kool Jool and a syringe of 1200 degree 56% silver solder paste. Enough for several comps. I've already got the oxy set up so the heats taken care of.

I have a high freq induction heater, I gotta get around to setting up, should do a nice job on muzzle breaks with very little heat affected zone.
