(INTERCHANGABLE) UPDATE: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17
SPBI is currently processing CCW apps submitted in June.

Thanks. Making progress on the backlog. Did you ever confirm the FBI completed your check?  Also CT is an open carry state!  While most conceal it’s not technically a concealed weapons permit.

Its not even a carry permit. We don't even have those here. It's a "pistol permit," whatever that means.

Gee, my permit says "State Permit to Carry Pistols and Revolvers".  I guess I must be special.

Nay. I couldn’t find the proper ext./number for the “Automated Line.” Thus, I plan to call a rep. tomorrow-ish.

UPDATE; 21 SEPTEMBER
I have received my “Tentative Hearing Date” (7 March) with/via The Board of Permit Examiners.
Hopefully WPD will indeed get “The Green Light” from SPBI & “The Date/Hearing” will be rendered gleefully defunct w/in the next few weeks or so.

May I ask what that date is so we all may know how backed up the Appeals Board is?

Is WPD aware you filed the appeal?  I think once they become aware of it there is a sense of urgency to get the permit approved since they don’t want to waste a day at an administrative hearing. I inquired with the board and they said the town isn’t notified until several weeks after paperwork is filed by you. Wasn’t sure if you let them know appeal was en route to speed up their process.

I have not. However, it must be highlighted that the proverbial ball is not purportedly in the court of WPD. Rather the next move to be made is that of SPBI. :wall:

Why would there be any a sense of urgency? They have until March 17 to get it done. In fact if they choose to be dicks about it they could withhold the permit until March 10th and still avoid going to the hearing.
