Romero died Sunday in his sleep after a “brief but aggressive battle with lung cancer,” according to a statement to The Times provided by his longtime producing partner, Peter Grunwald. Romero died while listening to the score of one his favorite films, 1952’s “The Quiet Man,” with his wife, Suzanne Desrocher Romero, and daughter, Tina Romero, at his side, the family said.

He WILL be down for breakfast tomorrow, however his diet will have changed to human brains!

"Night of the Living Dead" and "Dawn of the Dead" were great movies for their time. I believe that the films may have actually encouraged people to consider gun ownership (particularly "Dawn of the Dead").

"Zombie Guns" wouldn't exist!  Well ... they'd be called something else maybe but still.  Always enjoyed a good zombie action flick!
