Re: NICS authorization line hours will change
by Supes3 | Today at 03:55:46 PM
That's insane.  I'm seeing other stores post about it on FB, and asking them to contact our reps.  Would Reps be able to do anything about this?  Who would have decided and implemented this change?...
Re: Training in Ct.
by Flatulence | Today at 01:27:10 PM
So what happened to all the firearm training in the state? It seems like as King 33 closed there are no more regularly schedueled courses. Delta use to have IDPA matches along with training. They dont offer either anymore. Black Sheep Training only offers two classes per season.I remember good turnouts for all the classes I've taken. I dont think the demand isnt there, it is. Is it not profitable to run regular classes on a schedule? Or has Malloy put a stop to all training! 😂ThanksNo money in it for regular classes. Not to mention how much liability you are exposed to. The people you see at the classes are usually the same, which is great, but the regulars aren’t enough for a sustainable business model....

Vastly superior to the Troy. Troy works, unlike some others (Radical) but definitely skimps in many what ways????  I am not dis-agreeing , I know the shortcomings of the troys….better barrels?  better bcg?better trigger or lpk?nicer rails??  I see the DLDs listed but they don't list much for brand of parts ect…..  what I have notice for shortcomings on the troy others....-- low profile gas block has staked screws, but not staked enough to take screw out. once screws removed the gas block was such a tight fit, it took plenty of heat and plastic coated pliers to get loose.-- seems everyone is swapping out rails. mine has the troy mfr battle rail which I Love. i have seem the cheaper mlok and keymods onthe troys which are crappy.-- all internals ( lpk a...

Re: Who's shooting today?
by billyboy | Yesterday at 08:03:40 PM
Went to Blue Trail today. Had to use up some Tula ammo that I’m not allowed to shoot indoors. What great weather! A very pleasant way to spend a Friday morning. Then I ate lunch in the snack bar. Good times.PS- Want to add that this was only my second time there. The first time I went a couple years ago left a little to de desired. The people there were way more friendly this time around. Must be this good weather. They're under new management, so I think they're trying really hard to make a good impression on people. I'd love for them to open the 200 yard range again. Gonna go there tomorrow and perforate some paper....

If you get these, I'll even offer to assist you in reloading .270 Winchester (a longshot, I know), since that's the only one I have dies for; no brass on hand though. .45 ACP/AR/GAP is also doable....
Re: black rifle coffee review..... thumbs down Still
by WoodBurner | July 18, 2018, 04:45:00 PM
BRCC is worshiped on another gun forum that I am on. DD on sale at $5.99 floats my boat, I don't know what their coffee costs but I'm fairly certain it is too expensive. Can I afford it? Yeah I can, but do I want to spend 2 to 3 times as much? Nope....

The police really need to upgrade to "hands-free" communicators...aye, Scotty!  I thought the same thing!  You got enough going on during a high speed chase - no need to add keying the mike to the mix!...
Re: Another deal for .44 S&W Special shooters...
by CTSixshot | July 18, 2018, 12:19:59 PM
If you're reluctant to fire many full-power .44 Magnum loads, do yourself a favor and enjoy some easy-shooting .44 Special loads out of that Black/Redhawk or other revolver. Other than round count (cylinder vs. magazine), a .44 Special is very similar in performance to a .45 ACP, ie. 880-940 fps with 240g LSWC and 230G LRN respectively....
Re: Pachaug Outdoor Club plates
by CTSixshot | July 18, 2018, 08:40:14 AM
Sunday, July 22nd :This Sundays plate shoot will be a timed event, with approx. 32 targets total.  Targets will be setup in 3 stages, poppers in stage 1, both Texas stars in stage 2 and gongs (you just have to mark the targets) in stage 3.  Shooters will be divided into 2 groups. For those who wish to shoot 2 guns, open and stock, both guns will be shot from from the same group. Group A will shoot Stage 1 then Group B will shoot Stage 3, reset/repaint, Group A moves to Stage 2 and Group B moves to Stage 1 shoot and reset.  We will keep rotating through the stages until everyone has shot the 3 stages at least twice.  Hopefully this will make the timed events flow faster and smoother.  Questions/comments please email before Sat....
