Currently , what will drive more Gun Control is hatred and revenge for Republicans and Gun Owners.  Look at what just  happened in France! No reasonable person can believe less Gun ownership by law abiding citizens and more Gun free zones are the answer....
Re: Pension deficits
by sbhaven | Today at 06:36:57 AM
The state has long raided the funding so as to not properly fund state/local government pension funds. It's just one more example of fiscal mismanagement by the politicians. And it won't change any time soon. They simply kick the can down the road to let some other shmuck deal with it. Right now there is no punishment for them doing so.I do expect Red Ned and the Democratic leadership to come up with more fee and tax "gimmicks" to fund the growing mess that is the CT spending budget and deficit. They have zero desire to balance the budget since doing so means angering their base who benefit from the state spending (educators, state employees, etc.)....
Re: Thinking seriously about saying bye to the NRA
by shermer-high | Today at 02:55:48 AM
I do love the banter between people on here at times as I know for some it's in good fun. The NRA however is another story what have they ever done for our 2nd rights? They do like shotguns and bolt action rifles like some Presidents claim with their photo ops. However the NRA has traded and Actually helped lawmakers write our rights away since the beginning. They gave away machine guns for no reason what makes anyone think they would be for saving bump stocks. Wayne laptraitor probably instructed Trump how to get rid of bump stocks by having a machine gun definition rewritten. I do vote but what gun rights has the NRA or politician ever gotten back for us? I could go on but I'll end up on some off topic tangent. ...

Gentlemen,The problem was the town permit and the reason was the new Chief who was sworn in the week we filed for the town permit. The Chief of Police and the new support crew for him took a month to get themselves up to speed. We have it as of the following Monday of this incident. My apologies for the shape of the shop but we worked 18 hours a day to get ready for that rather small show and we hadn't time to clean up the myriad of boxes. We also had just had deliveries of a few desks and tables that day they showed up. I apologized to the gentleman and returned his deposit promptly. Our site asks that you call first . When I talk to customers i always ask them to call first. If the organization you work for is a bit more organized I salute you. Mine at present isn't but we'...

Re: -LAWYERS LOOK- Eligibility To Purchase Certificate. -LAWYERS LOOK-
by joelcramer | December 10, 2018, 05:22:08 PM
The crux is that I’ve already gone through all the Fed/State checks (under the auspices of my CCW) & must confirm that I can indeed just head to Middletown tomorrow (as I have a quasi-day off for once) Packet, Cash, etc. in tow lest my exceedingly sparse/valuable time be flung down the proverbial crapper for my trouble. :smiley:The answer is that nobody knows. I don't know or heard of anyone doing what you are trying to do.  You are plowing new ground. Let us know how it goes....

post pics so we can see.Pics are blurry. It looks like machining marks and a little bit of paint flaked off. I’ll call S&W tomorrow. I think it is probably normal.  Gun ran like a champ. The recoil was fairly mild for that fat .45 hurtling down the barrel. ...

Re: Getting AW Cert for Pre-ban Rifle Questions
by Flatulence | December 08, 2018, 09:37:46 AM
I believe the state has interpreted their ban as only pertaining to rifles labeled “Colt AR-15” and “Colt Sporter”.  Anything with those exact words and more is simply considered a variation of named preban Colt and therefore, not banned. Correct me if my wrong. As of right now that is correct, letter of the law. ...
