Re: (Permit) Wait Times in Wethersfield.
by mu2bdriver | Yesterday at 03:37:28 PM
Not to mention that the hearings are generally held in Wethersfield in the conference room.  They used to split them up between Middletown and one other city but I believe all have been held in Wethersfield for a while.  I'm surprised that the OP received such an 'early' date.  I was under the impression that the Board was scheduling hearings much farther than six months out....

by CTSixshot | Yesterday at 12:15:35 PM
FWIW, at Heritage in West Warwick, RI, CCI 500 primers are priced at $29.95 and CFE Pistol is $24.50 for 16 ounces (one pound, for those of you in Leffingwell). Sales tax is 7% next door.Pretty fair selection of all powders and primers......

Re: Who's shooting today?
by CTSixshot | September 18, 2018, 10:50:41 AM
Come on down this afternoon and shoot some .38 Specials, .44 Magnum, .45 ACP and 7.62x51mm. If interested, you can come along to Midstate Guns in Coventry, RI and Heritage in West Warwick.Hmmmm?  Can't be the two parts of the 230g Golden Saber, since both weigh over 265g (no dirt residue either). Shot through one gallon water-filled plastic jug, one half-gallon water-filled waxed-cardboard container and one half inch of particle board...https://i.imgur.com/NL3zc8s.jpg?1...

.30 caliber german luger
by blueshirt23 | September 17, 2018, 08:16:53 PM
Pictures aren’t the best but the fact that the straw blue is still present on the trigger, safety and take down lever is a plus. If the numbers on the wood magazine bottom match the numbers on the gun that would definitely increase the value. There should be numbers on most of the parts. If they match, that’s another big plus. If you know how to field strip it, check the small parts for numbers. They should be the last two digits of the serial #. Hope this helps you out. Chris D. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk...
Re: Silencerco Sparrow 22
by joelcramer | September 17, 2018, 04:42:39 PM
I don’t have it here to take pictures of. It belongs to a good friend of mine. I am his firearms helper. I helped him get the barreled receiver off of his preban Ruger 22 pistol and he sent it off to have the barrel threaded. He said it came back beautifully done. While I was taking apart the Ruger he wanted to also take the Sparrow apart so he could see what was involved and to get a feeling on what would need to be done to clean it. It didn’t come apart easily it was very stiff. It felt like it was too dry and didn’t want to slide apart smoothly. And when I went to put it back together it was also stiff. It really didn’t want to go back together with the half tubes over the O-ring at the top. It seems like it made the half tube too wide to slip the outer tube all the way down ont...
