The problem with that repost it assumes they want to be in the civi market- they don’t. They want to continue what they always done the most of- mil contracts. Their legacy since the inception of Colt has been mil sales.

The market is saturated, but there's still room to make money...The issue is that you have to be innovative.

Colt fucked themselves out of their own market.

They have millions upon MILLIONS of parts that conform to a standard that everyone has surpassed, at the same price points.

The purchase orders they require on product, beyond that, is absolute insanity.

The truth of the situation is that Colt dug this hole a very long time ago and didn't have the foresight to see the market shifting. Now there's no way out.

Colt is the perfect example of when non gun people run gun companies. There are several others.
