The DWs are some of the most superior 1911s on the market. The quality and fitment for the money is unmatched. I have 4 myself.

for the price range........ although they are starting to increase in prices lately.  Just wish they hadnt switched to so many aluminum frames.

I’m a Ruger fan. I’ve had good experiences with customer service and their revolvers are tanks. I have their 1911 9mm target. Decent gun but I overpaid for it and it’s not worth what I paid. They are cast (Ruger makes great cast guns) but I don’t see a reason to take that over forged. I would love to see Ruger stick to their price point guns instead of $800 10/22 competition models and $2000 1911s.

i had a ruger SR556 piston rifle when they first came out. it was so loose, that you could wedge a nickle in between the upper and lower when rocking it side to side. sent it to ruger, they sent it back saying it was fine. I called them and re-sent it..... they had their supervisor call me stating it was within mil-spec.

I have had a few revolvers over the years, they were fine...... 1911's are meh at best......
