This whole debacle is to give the Democrat cronies contracts and jobs. Secondly they can use it to track people.

We will lose federal highway funds but as expected they are not mentioning that loss or even how much we currently receive and waste.Since the October storm of 2011 there has been an endless effort to clear cut the trees in the median and the shoulders of all our highways. A complete waste of money.
I think we would only lose federal highway funds if we implemented tolls outside of the constraints of the Value Pricing Pilot Program. Getting a slot in that program was the first step in this whole process back in 2011 IIRC. As long as they charge more during peak periods in an attempt to mitigate congestion, the feds keep paying the normal distribution.

What are you basing that on? OLR and the FHWA VPPP says otherwise.
