Where to go for Jeep frame repair?
« on: February 14, 2019, 07:33:22 AM »

I picked up a used 98 wrangler for pretty cheap that has the usual frame rust issues. Does anyone know a place that does Jeep frame repair work? I’m in Monroe so preferably in my area of the state. Thanks

Not close, but there are two places up yonder that do this exact work every day.

Sandman Automotive in Manchester- he specifically does TJ frames. They have really nice custom jigs and know what they are doing.

DMR Off-Road in East Hampton will do a frame swap or major frame repair:

Saw this on Craigslist in the Bethel area.
Don't know anything about the place.

Report back on what you experience.  I like old jeeps but aeema this would be 1500-2k job.

Definitely will be $1-2k.

..And having owned three different TJs, I can tell you that if you see any rot on the outside, the inside of the those frames rails is full of rot. Always worse once you dig-in. A pneumatic needle scaler is your friend.
