We are looking hard at TN.
TN, outside of Memphis proper, is very nice. Eastern part of the State has a lot of Georgia and Charlotte money moving in the National Park area but they’re generally conservative and not turning that area purple. Nashville and the suburbs are growing every year I’m there. Chattanooga is really nice but has local govt issues with their leftists trying to make a name for themselves. Pigeon Forge is getting a little busier and some areas are trashy. Overall, an excellent State and number two on my escape list. I’m going back next month or April for a day or two to the Nashville area again.

Who is she your referring to?

I love CT. I've lived here my entire life, it's all the socialists and libtards that I hate.

Today I received a vehicle registration renewal form.  Instead of $90 it is now $100, because of a $10 fee for state parks that I NEVER FVCKING GO TO!

FVCK DEMO-COMMIES!
I thought it went to $90 from $80 for that fracking state park fee. i haven't been to a state park in 25 or 30 years (other than going to High Rock Range) and have no intention of ever going to any state park. This was just another revenue scheme, adding this to ALL registrations raises enough to fund the parks and make a tidy profit for the general fund.

$10 for the parks. $10 for air quality.

The air quality will improve once everyone moves out.

This would clear out quite a few of the beach area state parks from what I hear.

Same here in Stamford for the city beaches.

We have a Laborer pick up sign (or at least used to) from the city right by 95.  Just a solid hang out for illegals (mostly) picking up day labor jobs.

Cant really go wrong in NC. There are some "progressive" areas that should be easily avoided.

WTF are you still doing here if you have a good job offer!? GTFO while the getting is good!

Gotta talk to the boss this week or next. I am leaning toward the move but I’m not sure if they are willing to pay me enough to go. Sounds crazy but I am having trouble making the money work. I have a two-family home  here that can’t be replaced in the Raleigh area so I lose that income (Raleigh area is not zoned for it at all). Kids go to a small church school here, but the demand for the same schools in Raleigh is so much higher that the cost goes up $10k or more. Bottom line, I need a 30% raise not to take a financial hit.

As the saying goes, "Freedom isn't free."  Ya gotta pay for it Dude, and then hope the anti-freedom cancer doesn't follow ya.

This is the biggest problem with fleeing and not fighting.  It will follow you.  Millions of people have escaped the high tax/prog States on both coasts from both parties, the local schools and universities have moved far left, and have turned once reliable red States purple or worse.  For many who have stuff and are productive members of society but not at the upper upper end yet cannot move without a minimal amount of hardship and then there is the likeliehood that the threats to liberty simply follow in a few years.
