Feinstein the old bag has been pushing her assault weapons ban for years. I'm not worried it will never get through the senate.

Has there been anything put forward on the local lvl yet?  Have "other" purchase on my list but gonna take a bit to save up.

From what I have heard it is an active topic but the tolls are the main priority. They want to take our money first then our guns.

You know the funny thing is, people will still be sitting in traffic even with the new tolls. No way the state can take enough land (eminent domain) and widen the highways enough to not prevent the traffic jams that always happen on most of the major highways typically in the major cities too by the way. So you get to pay another $600 on top of the fuel taxes your already paying to still sit in traffic.  And of course the solution (in her mind) is "faster trains". Which then begs the question of who pays for that and does she understand why the trains cannot realistically run all that much faster than they already do now?

Stamford group targets senator’s highway tolls bill

Bergstein’s Proposed Bill No. 102 would install tolls on the main highways and set per-mile fees for cars and trucks that are comparable to surrounding states. It would require that the money be deposited in the Special Transportation Fund and in a proposed infrastructure bank.
....
The three meetings will feature business leaders who “will share their views on what we need to do — including faster trains,” Bergstein wrote.
....
“This is not a referendum on tolls but a conversation with business experts,” she said. “But I welcome a discussion of the facts around tolls because the facts are that Connecticut residents already spend $2,300 (per person) in wasted time and fuel sitting in unnecessary traffic. Wouldn’t people rather pay just $600 in tolls to save $2,300, and get to their destinations faster so they can spend more time with their families? Nearly everyone I speak with, except the most partisan, answers ‘yes.’”
Potentially, a government is the most dangerous threat to man's rights: it holds a legal monopoly on the use of physical force against legally disarmed victims.

Tolls + sales tax on food = CT on the track to prosperity. These fuckers are delusional. But at this point I almost prefer the band aid to be ripped off at once instead of a little bit at a time. I’m accepting that my house will soon be valueless because of the ongoing exodus so when belief becomes reality I can move on.
