TURKEY SHOOT at the COON CLUB 11/4
« on: October 30, 2018, 12:56:52 PM »

Stop in with your 12 ga with a full choke for a chance to win a Turkey. Or if you don't have a shotgun suitable use one of ours.

Targets placed at 30 yards, 25 shooters per round $3.00 per shot. Whoever has the most pellets on target wins the turkey for that round.
We will be shooting from 9 am till 2 pm as long as there are shooters willing to shoot.

Come check out the Raccoon Club 853 New Haven Road Durham, CT
Accepting applications for membership.

No in fact you can't even move up in line on the waiting list.

I don't see why not. But to be honest I don't know nobody that I know of has tried.  Just bring your own shells. We only have 12 and 20 ga.

Every turkey shoot I've done, they supply the shells so everybody is on an even playing field.

Like I said I don't think anyone has ever asked. I would think that if the 16 ga gives it a distinct advantage it would not be allowed. We also provide the  12 & 20 ga. We are pretty easy going. We don't inspect chockes on personal guns. We can tell after the first try just how tight a choke is. If it is found to be to tight it is retired. That gun will only win one turkey. You know a d*ck is gonna be a d*ck.

I ask about 16 ga because I use a 1936 Schutz Marke 16 ga side by side that my Grandfather used and then my Mom and for the last 30 years, me to win a whole bunch of turkeys.
Any idea what shot is being used so I can pick up a box of the same.

I think it would be cool to have a classic on the line. They just use back. 7 1/2 shot.
