Berry's 124g Hybrid HP in 9x19mm
« on: October 08, 2018, 11:43:46 AM »

2nd attempt yielded better results...
Test medium was a plastic milk jug backed by a waxed-paper milk container (both 1/2-gallon with water) with a dry syrup jug and particle board behind it. The bullet stopped inside the heavy plastic syrup jug.
The barely upset bullet was from the initial test-firing.

Nothing really. It's possible that the first recovered bullet wasn't even shot through the other water jugs. Of the few bullets that were fired, I only found this one and only one went into the water jugs, as they were spent after the first shot.
I'll have to fire a few more in a better controlled environment, I guess.

I don't drink much milk, so plastic jugs are rather scarce. All old phone books have been shot up, as well.

Anybody is welcome to bring target medium and sample a few. Available in .45 ACP/AR, .40 S&W/10mm Auto and 9x19mm. Some 230g (.452" dia.) Berry's Hybrid HPs and Inceptor Preferred Defense Bullets ARX Frangible Lead-Free (.452) are on their way, too.
