Surely someone here knows the “depth” if you will, of said ”Investigation(s)”? For whatever it’s worth, I was of the understanding that it consists of lil if anything more than a Detective doing a search/background check.

The town has had four months since you submitted your application - they have had plenty of time to perform an "investigation"Remember by law the WPD has to approve or deny your permit within five business days of receiving your background check back from the SFLU. No excuses such as a clerk being on vacation or out sick are valid... The WPD has already broken the law by exceeding the 8 weeks. The town has the discretion to approve your permit prior to hearing back from the SFLU in order to meet the 8 week deadline. If the SFLU sends them an unfavorable background check result at a later date - the town simply revokes your permit
