Micro red dots are getting popular.  USPSA has a "Carry Optic" division now.  Just for fun I built a Glock 19 from scratch - Glockstore $50 stripped frame and Brownell's RMR cut slide.  Suppressor height iron sights that co-witness the red dot.  Only complaint for EDC - the lens gets dirty with lint/dust after a week or so.

How do you like Brownell’s slide?  Any complaints?  Would you buy it again?  I’m building a 19 and looking for quality value slide options.

I like it so much I bought one for my 1st scratch built G17!  (I couldn't afford another RMR at the time so I got a $30 blank off plate for now)

Do you have one on a 10mm?  Did you buy the slide ready for the RMR, or have it modified?

After machining can JoJo's create the same super durable finish that comes on Glocks?

another option is using killshot precision in Bristol ct..... Zach is a great guy....  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

No, they will have the slide cerakoted, which will look better and is a lot more durable....but is usually like 100 extra or a little more.

you dont have to have it refinshed, you can touch it up if worried or buy the anti-flicker plate for the rmr. nobody will see it once rmr or cover installed.

my glock 30 was machined for rmr after the original custom work was done, i did not get refinished after the rmr cut and just coated it with paint. no issues at all. i will take a pic
