I take it you mean a mold similar to the H&G 68?

Good deal!

All this casting talk sparked a flicker of ambition so, while this morning's coffee was brewing, I went and fired up the old Coleman stove...

You're da man, GULFVT!
Thanks for restoring my lubrisizer back to health.
For any Lyman products or assistance, GULFVT is the man to see!
Thanks again. (I may even go and cast some .44 fodder just to get things rolling again...)

Well I chanted some spells to the Iron Casting Gods, and other comments, and got my Lee handles to fit on my sweet new Lyman mould ;D

I just converted the 650 over to 45acp from 9mm.  Wet tumbled a load of 45acp brass as i was running low.  Really like how clean the wet tumbling gets them.  Once I am out of the hitek coated 200g SWC that I purchased I plan to fire up the lee pot and cast some of my own with the lee 6 banger.  Will see if they come out as pretty as CTSixshots results.

I'm sure you'll do just fine. Sometimes the mold needs a little brass brushing to remove the film, but once everything is up to temp, you'll be making decent bullets.
I don't get very technical with my alloy, but I find tapping the mold before solidifying seems to aid fill out and I suspect it does something to the molecular structure of the metal (kind of like tapping a cast iron weld when using a nickel-content electrode). No scientific proof on this...
Good luck.
