This not just typical of people selling guns on consignment. It is typical in life.

Stuff they are selling is the best and worth more than top dollar. Your stuff is worth half going rate.

People get emotionally attached to everything.


Look at the real estate market right now. Prices are comical given the current environment in CT. The smart ones are adjusting and selling but lots of stuff on the market for over 300 days.

I saw a very nice Mauser there that I was interested in but the owner wants $1000 for it. This was 3 months ago. I went back last week and its still there along with his 3 other overpriced rifles... :facepalm:

I saw that one a year or 18 months ago, it's never going to move.

It will sell, it always does..... look at the stuff cabelas sells  all the time....

I just had a guy want to do a trade using new pricing for his trade value and trade in for mine.  LOL....

Armslist just had a used bone stock g19 gen 3 selling for 550 with no add ons....

But hey.... dont like price, dont buy it....

With the plethora of pawn shop shows and wheeling and dealing shows on TV. You would think people would know by know that half retail is the starting point usually.
