The next time they call you make sure to give them your SS number, then they will stop bothering you.

I have a different solution to unwanted calls.  I keep my ringers turned off.  EVERYTHING goes to voice mail.  Very rarely to telemarketers leave a message.  If I want to talk to the person I will call them back.

My experience with telemarketers for the past 10+ years has been ZERO!

Because nobody calls you, and if yourself called you it would tell you to stop buying Croatian junk and sweatpants.  ;D ;D

yup....

phone rang, caller ID says my name and number,

I answered, and heard this:

please leave you social security number after the beep, and we will return your call...

it beeped

then hung up

I get the same sometimes. I think it's all internal B.S.. I'm on the donotcall list and only started receiving these calls since switching to at&t. Now I get about 2-3 robo calls a day. Mist of the time it's a local exchange , I pickup and it hangs up  :crackit:
Other times it's some form of BS ad or ScAM.

If you record the out of service tone pattern at the beginning of your voicemail the robo-callers will think they reached an out of service number and will not call back.

When they start getting bad - I connect my fax machine for a week.  The tone indicates a non voice line to the robo dallier
