Hypothetical question on transfer.
« on: September 11, 2017, 08:02:15 AM »

If I were to sell a preban AR-15 that's already SBR'd on a form 4 to another individual in CT and while waiting for the transfer our governor signs off on banning further preban transfers. Would that transfer be in limbo if that form 4 is received after a so called date is set?  I know it's not set in stone but curious on how it would be played out. TIA.

Cover your ass and do the state paperwork now. Then deliver when the form 4 comes back.

Is there even a bill to ban future transfers of prebans?

Not yet. But it is never to early to worry about something that may or may not come down the path. However in this case I think there is a reasonable fear that something like this could happen.

I tend to agree. But I wonder what the hell they're waiting for. Just give a lot more people the opportunity to exploit the opening.

They are worried about the language. It seems that it is going to be something like Mass AGs bullshit decree. But worse for us that it  has a Judges interpretation behind it. The state is going to respond, they have no alternative.
