Dicks Sporting Goods Dec 13th and Dicks Sporting Goods Dec 15th.

No thanks, they can keep their ammo and their sales.

I don't understand?
Day before Sandy Hook. Day after Sandy Hook.

Wow, I didn't know about that. I was only in seventh grade when Sandy Hook happened, but I had thought people were only buying up the formerly legal one feature AR's and other now "assault rifles".

The full shelves picture is the pre Sandy Hook at Dicks, the empty shelves was the post Sandy Hook at Dicks where they pulled all guns/ammo/etc. for a period of time for public relations purposes. One had to go to the checkout counter(s) and ask to buy ammunition for a period of time. Some still haven't forgiven Dicks (and Walmart) for pulling some/all guns/ammo when Sandy Hook took place. In Walmart's case they pulled AR's from some of their stores.

Wow that is ridiculous! I thought people bought them all up. Thanks for the explanation. That is pretty unforgivable.

I don't have a D!cks near me, so I don't care anymore one way or the other.

Last year (or maybe it was 2015) Macy's made a big media splash and pulled Trump clothing.  I don't typically shop at Macy's and have never purchased any Trumpwear, but I wrote to the CEO and told them I will never step foot in Macy's or a Macy's owned store again.

Everyone has something they boycott.

Yeah I can understand boycotting d*ck's, but I'll take a deal on ammo where I can get it since I'm a student with limited income.

you can usually get better prices if you order online.  if you're shopping at the right places, you will get free shipping, bulk pricing, and NO SALES TAX.  one of my favorites for good online deals is sportsman guide.

another favorite of mine is cabelas, with a major caveat.  NEVER pay cabelas retail, nonsale prices.  they are high!  wait for sales and combine those with their mailer coupons which are usually an additional $20 off $150. another huge money saver for cabelas is buying the gift cards on ebay from the seller SVM Giftcards.  they usually sell $100 cards for between $80-$85.  I don't know how they do it, but they do it by the thousands.  I have purchasedclose to $2k worth of them and never had an issue.  combine sales, with coupons, and the up to 20% off the giftcards, and you can get some great savings on ammo and everything else in the store for that matter.  obviously you do pay sales tax at cabelas, but the savings far outweigh the addition of tax.
