I know it's too far for most of you, but the Pachaug club runs a fun match. Pretty reasonable at $5 per gun, too (similar to Sprague, I believe). They run a stock class and open class; many race guns with dots and optics, but you can still play w/o one.
Today we shot  a Texas Star and a horizontal plate rack with a pepper-popper style stop plate. Bring plenty of ammo...

Plate shoot 6/25/2017 at 10:00AM

From their e-mail

This Sunday's plate shoot will be a timed event.  There will be 27 targets, 9 white with green stripe, 9 green and 9 pink, both Texas stars will be used.  Course of fire will be white with green stripes, green then pink.  Any target shot out of sequence will add 2 seconds to your time, any target left standing will add 4 seconds to your time.  You can bring as many magazines to the firing line as you want, but as always no more then 10 rounds in each mag.

You will get plenty of rounds downrange; not less than 162 rounds. You'll run each gun about three times, at least.
Should be $5 per gun. Open (race guns/optics) and stock class.

Plate shoot Sunday 10/8/2017 10:00 AM

This Sunday's plate shoot will be a .22 pistol and rifle shoot, timed event with 12 targets.  Rifle will be shot at 50 ft and pistol at 30/35 ft.   I'm going to try and run two lines to see how well this will work out.  For those that don't have a mag fed rifle, I'm sure there will be plenty of people willing to lend you theirs.
