No waiting list that I am aware. Showing up, talking to folks is the way to go.

Took the advice and went to Hamden Club for a walk around.  The rain didn't help and a Boy Scout rifle shoot was taking place, so not best day for a tour.  The few people I did meet seemed great.  I was told a sponsor was needed to join & to come back next weekend to see their registered trap shoot.  So if any member will be there next weekend, I would appreciate introducing myself and hopefully get a sponsor too.  Thanks in advance.

I think I was one of the guys you met ! This Saturday May 5th is a 3-Gun match, its cool to check out.  The guy you need to talk to about becoming a member is Blaise Lombardi he's usually there every Saturday. He's an older guy and some people have had a difficult time with him responding to emails. In person would be the best way.

I usually shoot on Sundays, and I'm good for a round of trap or two. Haven't done too much skeet myself yet. I did shoot 5-stand last Saturday and that's not so easy. Fun as hell through.

Good guy, thank you for the reply! I saw the posts on the 3 gun this Saturday and hoping I can get up there - I do have a wedding to attend that day, so if that gets in the way I will try for Sunday. Is Blaise up there on Sunday's? Thanks again for the reply.  Your club looks great and I'm hoping this works out.

Goodguy, thanks for taking the time yesterday to show me around the club and introduce me to a few of the members. It was a busy day up there and appreciate it. Ran out of time and had to get to work, so never met up with Blaise but I'll double my chances and email over my application plus keep trying to meet with him. Thx again for your help.

Even further away than Ashaway, but Bradford, RI has night shooting, I believe.

Although it's a haul, make a day of it and have some fun, food and fellowship...
Ashaway Sportsmans holds public shotgun meets. I believe they do trap, 5-stand (same as trap??), sporting clays and what not. Breakfast served.
Too bad it's on Sunday, else you could hit M&B Sports, Black Fox G&A, Ron's and other shops while up this way.
