Just started having the same sporadic issue this evening but I also get a line or two of pixelation when it occurs as well.

Here too - I have Comcast - and while streaming music or talk shows - I get interruptions.  Only last a few seconds - but they happen a bunch (a few times an hour or more).
Stupid expensive for cable TV and internet.

I had the same problem with Comcast watching television.  It only occurred when I was watching stations in HD.  If I switched to non HD viewing the problem stopped.  They must have been having problems with their HD transmission.

TV speakers or external speakers? When I had Frontier, my sound would go in and out or I would get a loud clicking noise when going through my surround sound. The regular TV speakers in other rooms worked fine (Cable Box to TV via HDMI). A Frontier rep recommended that I use an optical cable instead of an HDMI cable to get the sound to the surround sound receiver. Had to run another wire through the wall, but it fixed the problem. Maybe it'll work for Comcast.
