I think I paid around 250 for my preban browning buckmark. The threaded tax-lite barrel is $192 at brownells. I sold factory barrel for $75.

Gun shoots great with my yhm mite. I like it better than my glock 19 with threaded 22 upper.

That's what I consider a reasonable price.    Not $450.

Thank you for your replies.    I am leaning toward the 4" - since I do plan to add the mouse suppressor from Freedom Shoppe.   I'll let you know when I have it all put together and run a brick thru it.  Won't be for a while as I am waiting for the paperwork to clear.
Now I guess it is time to look at my old pre-ban 10/22 to see what barrel to order.  Look out checking account!

I didn't have the $$ for the taclite, so I had my gunsmith shorten a Buckmark Barrel down to 4", thread it, and re-locate the front sight for about $60  (I also have a Mouse suppressor on order)

I bought my Ruger Mark II with the intention of cutting and threading for a surpressor, but I can't bring myself to do it.  I like it too much.  I shouldn't have gotten the government target model.   :wall:

You won't even be able to tell it's cut and threaded. I had my Mark I done and it's very hard to notice. JoJo's did mine and it came out better than expected.

Nice looking Buck Mark!!  $60 sounds like a good deal on the threading also.  I've had my Buck Mark for many years and never took it out much.  Just occasional plinking.  But I do plan on bringing it out a lot more often - can't wait.

Yeah, I like the way it is now, it's a fun shooter.  That being said, if I find another one for a similar price, it'll be up at JoJo's to be cut and threaded.

Connecticut is a great state.  I have a Cabela's coupon promo code for $20 off of $150 that expires today.  I just got online to order the 4" Tactical Solutions barrel  IK - 230626.
Guess what?  There is a restriction that it won't ship to Connecticut!
Bull$hit.
I tried their online chat - they said that they could not remove the restriction.
I'm gonna have to talk to them directly in East Hartford.
That is what I get for waiting to the day the coupon expires before trying to place order.

Thanx to all of you who replied - I appreciate the input.  I am leaning toward the 4" since I will be putting a  mouse suppressor on it.

He's a home based gunsmith & 07 FFL.  That $60 may not be set pricing, I've had him do a few jobs for me in the past
