How's that SKS working out?
I know they make for an inexpensive, reliable shooter = mucho funo!

Never did figure out what rounds are used for grenade launching. There was a fella at Berlin that launched one with his M1 Garand; we never did recover the darn thing way up in the rocky hillside!
It's awesome!  Remember you did alittle runnin' and gunnin' with it at your compound last summer!

Yes, I do recall. I was just hoping it hasn't been collecting dust in your closet since then.

I think I only shot it once or twice since then.  It runs flawlessly, even with the cheap steel-case Russian ammo.  Unfortunately my local range banded steel targets last year so I'm not shooting as much.

Did we shoot any of the frangibles on the steel here? I don't think ranges will accept these as a fix for shooting steel, but who knows.

We might have.  Yeah only paper targets at this range.

I guess a farm trip is in order, although it's tough for me to get up that way.
My cousin has too many irons in the fire and the range doesn't get much use and attention, I'm afraid.
Although you've sold your steel, that would be the ideal place for them.
Well, we'll have to see what's up once things warm up a bit.

Thanks for the offer!  Actually I'm getting ready to flee CT.  House going on the market in a couple of weeks.  I'll be selling some more steel on this board soon!

Leaving does seem to be the most intelligent option for a gun owner. A state that doesn't criminalize your hobby would make life more pleasurable indeed.

More like criminalizing the US Constitution and their own state Constitution.  I'm going where I can legally open carry with a loaded 17 rnd mag without a permit.

I realize the OP doesn't need strippers at this point, but I did see a bag of a dozen or so at M&B Sports (North Stonington) yesterday. In fact, there is a pristine Yugo (appears unfired) and a Chinese (spike bayonet) SKS in the shop. I didn't see a price on the used Chinese model, but the Yugo is marked $495.
Gone are the days of $99-$129 SKSs...
No one reloads 7.62x39mm (except me) with ammo prices as low as they are, but if you do want something unique, let me know. Currently, I have almost 200 boxer-primed empties. Order some frangible bullets and have some fun on steel. My bullet selection is limited to just a few 125g SP, but they aren't anything unique.
Rifle range onsite.
