Range is open today.
Come down and try the ARX 118 grainers in .45 ACP on steel plate, paper or tin cans.
Also have the Berry's Hybrid HPs in 9mm and .45 ACP. Bring .40 S&W brass and you can shoot these, too.
Sorry, no 10mm since they'll cause nuclear winter/fallout.

Rifles are perfectly acceptable, too.
Ample .223 Remington, 7.62x51mm, 6.5/7.7 Jap, 6.5 Carcano ammo available. Some .35 Remington.
Much has gone into storage, so most other calibers are packed up already.

Boy! These wadcutters really do a number on water-filled cans... didn't take any pictures, but I don't care if you doubt me or not:

After a couple of busy weeks with no shooting today I was having a hard time trying to decide which gun(s) I wanted to shoot.  I couldn't make up my mind, so I stacked firewood instead.

First world problems.  Oh well.  Maybe I'll shoot next week.

Don't worry about your cushy life too much, depending on how things go in November you may start having some nice third world problems to deal with before you know it.

But it will be like teaching a pig to sing, a waste of your time, and you'll only succeed in anoying the pig.

Range open today. No charge, as usual.
My guaranteed reloads available for less than Wal-Mart "Everyday Low Prices", too.
.44 Magnum on special: $15 for 50 rounds (240g LSWC).
.45 ACP with 118g Inceptor ARX; $29 for 50 rounds.

The day is a'wasting...
...bring your own milk jugs, bowling pins, balloons and tin cans, since I have a limited supply.
Don't expect many more decent days this year to enjoy some trigger time. Mowing the lawn and gathering some firewood works, too.
All girly-men welcome as I'm shooting 9x17mm and 9x19mm. Bring brass and we can shoot 9x18mm, too.

Okay, you lost your chance for today. My wife and I strategically placed over two pounds of projectiles into the pistol pit, 95 grains at a time...

More .380 for the wife in the EZ; plenty of leaves to shoot at (moving targets!).
The balloons are really flying, too.

Well, nix the 7.7 Jap ammo, since we shot most of that off today.
I can't say if the rifle was a last ditch model as it didn't have the knurled safety knob, but it seemed to have a machined rear sight mount, versus a cast or rough piece...(I understand only the training rifles had this, along with no rifling). It was a serviceable shooter at any rate. What a soft shooter with 180g and 200g cast bullets and light charges of pistol powder. Even standard loads under the 174g JRNs were pleasant to shoot.

55 degrees, sunny, very light breeze.

50 rounds full house .357 magnum (158 and 125 grain) through a Ruger LCR in about 15 minutes.  I'm feeling it.  It makes a Glock 29 feel like a girly-man .22LR.

You weirdos with your short barrel 454 Casulls, 500 S&W magnums etc must be insane!
