No doubt.  But would enough lunatics want them as to make it worthwhile to build and try to sell them?

Madness,
I had an old Dixie Gunworks Blunderbuss for years! Someone here in Connecticut has it if they are still in the state! From what I remember of the Regs, you may need to have a manufacturing license to produce arms and that it would be classified as a non-firearm under the black powder replica designation! It's been a few years since I perused the regs but that is what I remember from the time I was with 'The Hartford Armory' producing replica 1875 Remingtons!

Don't get me wrong, the LeMat is REALLY cool, and gives you a lot of 19th century firepower in a portable package...

But I want this: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shooting/Black-Powder/Pistols-Revolvers|/pc/104792580/c/104701680/sc/104503680/Davide-Pedersoli-Howdah-Hunter-20-GA-Pistol/740261.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Fshooting-black-powder-pistols-revolvers%2F_%2FN-1100201%2FNo-48%3FWTz_l%3DSBC%253BBRprd705701%26WTz_st%3DGuidedNav%26WTz_stype%3DGNP&WTz_l=SBC%3BBRprd705701%3Bcat104503680

Gregg,
That's what they call a 'Boarding Pistol' or used by the fist mate in case of mutiny by the crew of the ship to protect the Capt. and control the crew!
