STARBUCKS REDUX
Quote
We discussed here in February, 2010 how the Starbucks chain, when gun haters demanded that firearms be banned from their coffee shop premises, stood up and said no, they would follow the laws of the given state, and those legally carrying guns would be welcome.  My friend and colleague Dave Workman brings you up to date here: http://www.examiner.com/gun-rights-in-seattle/nw-gun-rights-activists-coffee-up-as-starbucks-posts-profits . Be sure to read his links for background.

It seems than an anti-gun group has called for a boycott of Starbucks on this coming Valentine’s Day, February 14.  As Dave explains, many of us in the gun movement will be buying something at Starbucks on that day, just to make sure that Starbucks has a profitable holiday despite being boycotted by the antis.

Correct!  There are facebook pages and various gun blogs also promotting this event.  Many have been going to banks to get $2 ($2 for 2A) and plan on going to Starbucks and pay with their $2 bills.

I plan to stop by in the AM

I'll be going to a Starbucks tomorrow!!! One in the Simsbury Plaza, if anyone's interested in meeting up.

(Hey, no girlfriend? What the hell, might as well!  ;)  )

My local Starbucks was pretty busy this morning.  Nothing out of the usual - just busy.

I splurged and got a venti-sized foofy beverage and some eats.   ;)

I prefer strong black coffee to the fru-fru stuff they serve there, but what the hell.

Got a mocha latte with a double shot of espresso.  :)

I went to SBUX in New Canaan today and on my way out a man walked in OCing a Smith revolver.  Stopped to talk to him for the few seconds I had.  He was there for the BUYcott and was a CCDL member.
