When you head down to the beach for a little fun this summer, county officials want you to leave the pigskin at home.

The Board of Supervisors this week agreed to raise fines to up to $1,000 for anyone who throws a football or a Frisbee on any beach in Los Angeles County.

I'm glad they did that, don't you know how dangerous frisbees can be! Not to mention footballs.

California even has specific guidelines and regulations pertaining to the construction of sand castles.  With fines associated with violations of those regulations.

Regulations!  For sand castles!  You just KNOW that they'd require building permits and construction fees if they thought they could get away with it.

It's not nick-named the People's Republic of Kalifornia for nothing.
