I used to shoot 'The Holy Black' in my younger years. Don't believe what you hear about wet black powder. It won't fire when it's wet but you can dry it out and it will fire just fine and sometimes it get's even more potent.
TRUE BP will dry & fire well after being subjected to excessive moisture, and then dried; I can't say the same for substitutes though.
I have a tip for you though, back in the 16/17th century, the French used to actually glaze their 2fg with sulphurized red wine. I have done this successfully with 3f (although a little sticky & chunky at times), and the performance is phenomenal. (Think Swiss powder on steroids)
