There's a nice article in today's R-A about this company:

I haven't seen it yet, either, but I really haven't been looking. I doubt you'll see any in Cabela's or Hoffman's, though.

The article was well done, IMHO.

I'm not sure if GreggAndrews from ctshooting is in this forum, but I believe he has used their ammo. It's not far from his home apparently. He'll likely chime in and give you the details.

Wolf's has been selling Nutmeg ammo for several months, with extremely positive feedback (all 4 cals).  Great story, and I wish him luck!

Ha ha... At any rate, it must be a tough business. Kind of hard to compete with Wal-Mart, d*ck's and the like, unless you are loading for a niche market. Perhaps WMT and d*ck's will offer his product? Good luck.

Riverview Sales in East windsor carries it.  Its all I bought for target shooting until I started reloading myself.  Never had a problem.  Very reliable stuff.

I'm back! Guns 'R Icky! :P

Anyway, Nutmeg Sporting Cartridge in Colebrook is an EXCELLENT company. A while back, I bought a box of their 115gr. 9x19 from NW Sporting Goods. Excellent ammo, at an even better price; clean-burning, surprisingly accurate, consistent, and VERY inexpensive.

However, the second-to-last box I bought, I found a 9x18Mak case, loaded as a 9x19; the case slipped by one of the plates, and was loaded with a 115gr. projectile, and same powder charge; WAYYYY too hot for 9x18, and frankly I thought it would be a little dangerous. So I gave them a call just to bring it their attention.

Let me start off by saying that Dean Blair is an EXCELLENT guy to deal with. On the phone, he told me to bring the box (with the offending shell) in to look at. Instead of giving me the run-around, he took the 9x18 shell, and then gave me a brand-new box of 9mm (didn't even take back the original box!) for the sake of customer service.

After that, I had the opportunity to sit & chat with Dean. Very pleasant to talk to, and just a nice guy to begin with. The people who work in his shop are very nice as well.

Their ammo is cheaper than Federal, & infinitely better. Their customer service is positively OUTSTANDING, and this is one business that I certainly hope will go far.
