The ONLY ammo I have ever had duds with was .22s and that is maybe a dozen over 40 years of shooting - out of well over 50k shot.

To be honest, I've noticed it with the Champion. One box I shot, had three fail to light.

Same with the Winchester 100rnd. bulk packs of birdshot. It would seem like one or two out of every pack (100) would just not want to light up.

I agree that .22's are most likely to fizzle to begin with... had a brick of Remington Golden Bullets that would have a dud every fifty/eighty rounds or so.

All of my ammo sits in a wooden cabinet next to my computer... pretty dry in here too.

I did take the advise from another user and emailed American eagle. They offered to reimburse me for the box that I bought, but they wanted the box and the misfired round which I didn't have. So I would recommend that anyone that has the same issue to save everything and contact the manufacturer.

I might be ad-whoring here, but what I really suggest you do is step away from a lot of the bigger companies, and go for Nutmeg Sporting Cartridge.

They burn clean, they're more consistent, and their customer service is exquisite. It's cheaper than the cheapest Federal too.  ;D
